Early this year, we drilled a new borehole on the campus of Micu Senior Secondary School, which is also located in Arua District. This is a day and boarding school that teaches 320 students at both O and A Level from the region, only 6 kilometers from the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo. In the past, students and teachers here used a stream, filled with leaves and open to animals, for their drinking and bathing water. Head Teacher Ezama Robert reported that this inadequate source of water also dried up seasonally. Today, students at Micu Senior Secondary School have a new borehole on their campus (see the picture) and are no longer sick from drinking filthy water. Many thanks to all of you for donating the funds for this new borehole!!
