April 2013

American students are helping us with projects in Uganda. This year, students at University City High School and Point Loma High School in San Diego, and Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, have campus clubs that are working to raise funds for Quench and Connect. These clubs engage students in our projects and offer them an opportunity for a first-hand experience in international aid. The clubs have amazing teacher-advisors who spend lots of time mentoring the clubs. But the work is student-driven and the creative ideas are student-led. The clubs at UCHS and Clarke are in their second year helping us. These students surely represent future leaders in our communities who will have a global perspective as they build their lives. Please join us in cheering on the clubs and their teachers as they support Quench and Connect!! What these students accomplish and their energy and dedication represent the real picture of today’s young Americans. Look at their faces and you will see their confidence and optimism. Because of their hard work, added to the donations from many of you, we have now reached our goal of $9000 for a borehole well at St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Kyankwanzi Uganda. Many thanks to all of you for your donations so far this year.
